The Daily Faves

Have you had your Daily fix today?

Check out the sweet sounding voice of up and coming acoustic singer, Joseph Vincent. Joseph was featured on the Ellen Degeneres show today after being a hit on Youtube. His “Replay” cover has gotten over 1 million hits and counting. I listened to a few of his other covers, as well as original songs, and they are all amazing. I expect to see a lot more of this little cutie. Screw American Idol, YouTube is seriously the way to fame. Congrats Joseph!

So here is the second single of Drakes’ much anticipated (official debut) album “Thank Me Later” due out June 15th 2010. The song is a more mellow follow-up to the first single “Over” -which displays Drakes’ range quite well. The track didn’t grab me like “Over” did, but it has some good lyrics in there and I’m sure it will grow on me. What do you think? Follow the link below to listen.

Happy Earth Day Everyone!
If you don’t normally take the time to show Mother Earth some love please do today. Pick up a piece of trash you see on the ground. Don’t take the bag when you buy one or two items at the store (you know you can totally carry them without it). Use a re-useable cup. Turn the water off when you are brushing your teeth. Something, ANYTHING. We only have one planet. And considering the abuse it gets, we might as well stop calling her “Mother Earth” and start calling her “Rihanna”.
So thank you in advance for any action you take today and hopefully always in saving our environment. Your children and future grandchildren will thank you too.

So I of course didn’t watch America’s obsession that is American Idol tonight cause well, I have better things to do then watch Seacrest dangle the dreams of young wannabe’s in front of them and drag out 5 word sentences into an hour long show. But I did watch Adams’ performance of “Whataya Want From Me” because I actually really like the song. Yes it was a bit dramatic, but what’s new? Girl can sing! Go on girl! Whataya Want From Me?!!

Mary Kate Olsen hit up the Otarian Restaurant Grand Opening in New York tonight toting what is apparently Elaine Benes’s backpack. Its like she reached back to 1993 and dragged that sucker to the present time red carpet. I’m not going to say it looks bad (’cause it is clearly self evident). But let it be known now, that this is probably a new trend in it’s infancy. Fashion is a recycling system and therefore we have been expecting a backpack revival, clearly that time has come. Brace yourself.
