Last weekend was the launch party for the new socially conscious line Make One LA at The Central in Santa Monica. The line aims to give back to the community and charities by donating 1$ from every item sold (with an emphasis on social justice for homeless and low income individuals). The brands designer, Ami Perreault, created every piece by hand and used the finest jersey material making every top comfortable as well as creative.
Check out the company on
Facebook or online at MakeOneLA.com for all products and more info.

Last night was opening night of the fourth annual Sunset Strip Music Festival featuring a special Motley Crue tribute that was held at the House of Blues. Motley will be playing Saturday during the street festival that will be taking place on Sunset between San Vicente and Doheny. The days event’s will include vendors, VIP rooftop lounges, VIP areas in The Roxy and The Key Club, a beer garden, autograph tent and interactive experiences all day on The Strip.

Congrats to SSMF’s 2011 honorees Motley Crue…the only band worth seeing at this festival in my opinion. If I didn’t have to be crammed into a crowd of middle-aged women re-living their glory years in front of the Motley stage (like I have experienced a time or two already now) I would so be at this festival. The words “Motley” and ‘Beer Garden” have a magnet type effect on me.

Why is Kim Kardashian at the Do Something Awards?? The Awards, which were held last night in Los Angeles are focused on teaching kids to do good in their communities and the world overall. In an excerpt from the LA times the awards were described as follows,

” a celebrat[ion] [of] a young generation of leaders who care about causes such as special-needs kids, ending hunger and educating refugee children.”

If Kim Kardashian does anything but primp and take herself too seriously then may God strike me dead. This superficial phony could care less about doing stuff to benefit those who are in need. She is too busy making sure her eyelashes look long, her butt looks big and her head looks small. (Best of luck with that the last one.)

This award show’s seats needed to be filled with the likes of Angelina Jolie, Leonardo Dicaprio, Justin Timberlake, Hayden Panetierre and people who actually use their fame for good, not ridiculousness.

But on a lighter note- the Biebs is lookin’ fine as usual.
