Gwen Stefani and her husband Gavin Rossdale were among the many celebs that attended last nights amfAR’s Cinema Against Aids Gala in France. Gwen looked amazing in a gold belted black mermaid gown designed by none other than her own fashion house L.A.M.B.
The Gala was successful in raising a record breaking 10 Million dollars for the cause.

Haven’t posted in a while so thought I would get my feet wet with a little diddy on my fav girls: Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen. The twins, seen here with Diane Von Furstenberg (who hosted the event) were at the CFDA meeting in New York today. The CDFA is the Council of Fashion Designers and other attendees included, Rachel Roy, Derek Lam and my favorite jewelry designer the one and only David Yurman.

The Badgley Mischka flagship store opening in Beverly Hills happened earlier this week, and ladies and gentlemen I would like you to direct your attention to the photo above that was taken at the event. See the two men there? That is Mark Badgley and James Mischka, the designers and founders of the line ( if your brain is too slow to have realized that by their surnames).
Now take a good long look at them. These are the men that have the creativity and design capabilities to have made the stunning gowns that they are famous for, yet, they are the same men who thought making Rumer Willis the face of their line campaign would be a good idea.
It’s a mind bender, I know.

Mila Kunis in Elie Saab

Reese Witherspoon in Giorgio Armani Prive

The 83rd Academy Awards was mediocre at best. The show was as run of the mill as the gowns were and the latter was the most disappointing of the two. No one expects the actual show to be full of shocks and awes but the clothing, the clothing is what it is all about! Not this year. I don’t know what was going on with these dresses but I am not even going to waste my time posting them all ’cause they are all awful. So I am doing a cliffs notes version of just the best and worst.

Best goes to Mila Kunis for her Elie Saab gown that was a light lavender. It was the only gown that struck out as being truly gorgeous. The color is beautiful and the lace detail and train make it definitely worthy of my “Best” vote.

Now for the Worst. Reese, Reese, Reese, oh honey what happened here? Maybe you came down with a slight case of amnesia and forgot you were going to the Oscars…in 2011. Not your prom….in 1990. This black and white dress is so awful and boring. All she is missing here are elbow length satin gloves… and a seat by the punch bowl. This outfit is so the “Worst”.

I for one am incredibly sick of Kim Kardashian. Even her name, how it rolls off the tongue and is quite literally in every sentence uttered by those uber important celebrity gossip pundits; Ryan Seacrest, Harvey Levin, and the
like < insert eye roll here<. First of all she tries tooooo hard. I have never seen anyone in my life wear so much makeup and hair extensions at every moment of every day. At least Khloe and Kourtney keep it real. But back to the question at hand, why is she at the Screen Actor Guild Awards?? I see her everywhere as it is, I don’t want her squeezing her fat ass into my accredited award shows. Stick to the MTV Awards and Teen Choice Awards where you belong KK. And PS. This is not your finest look I’m sorry to say, I would stay away from the purple, that is unless you were going for the Barney look.

The 2011 Golden Globes had a lot of hits in terms of fashion. Below are a few of my favorites. The theme of the evening was neutral tones and a lot of green (which I loved).

Amy Adams in Marchesa

Anne Hathaway in Armani Prive

Catherine Zeta Jones in Versace

Claire Danes in Calvin Klein

Gia Mantegna (Miss Golden Globess) in Lorena Sarbu

Mila Kunis in Vera Wang

So in my best Jerry Seinfeld impression I ask “What’s the deal with Suri Cruise?”
I ask this because ever since this child was born her parents, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, have never dressed her in appropriate clothing. Pay attention now that I mention it. I have seen countless photos of
Katie carrying her through snow and rain and Suri never had a jacket on while Katie did. Now today is the last straw, and I had to post about it.
Look at what Katies wearing. Look at all the people in the backgrounds clothing. Note that it is December in NYC (where this pic was taken), and then notice that Suri Cruise has no pants on.

WTF is the deal? Alien Child I tell you. Science experiment daughter made by crazy Tom Cruise in his home Scientology lab or something. Yep, thats it. Mystery solved.

Last night was the “US Weekly’s Hot Hollywood “Stars Who Care” ” event In LA and I find it very curious as to what they care about. Clearly its not animals or animal cruelty since Chris Brown and Aubrey O’Day showed up in fur. I mean duh, of course one needs a fur backpack, and especially at a red carpet event. Some poor little fuzzy, snuggly creature died so Chris Brown could carry around a uber fancy Jansport with no apparent need.
And Aubrey O’Day. My first question is 1) Why are you still relevant enough to be at this party and 2) That dress is a joke right?
So congrats US Weekly for throwing a wonderful, philanthropic bash honoring “Stars( Aubrey?) Who Care (about killing animals for fashion?)” quite a party!
