The Daily Faves

Have you had your Daily fix today?

So I have spent a lot of time hatin’ on Jessica Biel. I was never really a fan and disliked her since her 7th Heaven days. She never did much and always was at awards shows and premiers acting as if she was still relevant, and maybe she was- on the basis she is dating Justin T. Sort of the way that horrid little Vanessa Hudgens acts, basically doing nothing but being annoying and popping up everywhere ’cause she is with the Zef. Anyway, I am taking back my remarks I have made about Jessica in the past. Ever since “Valentines Day” (where she played a character that was scarily similar to my own personality) I kind of like her. Although she is still dressing badly, her hair and face look great. She’s really pretty and I never saw it so much before. So props to Jess you just climbed up Sarah Wilson’s fave’s ladder.

Jessica Alba, I love you. I do. But you look terrible! That dress, that hair, the shoes. I am disappointed. You haven’t starred in a movie in so long. This was your comeback red carpet and you look like a wet bird. I am sad.

On the other hand, Anne Hathaway looks gorgeous! OK well, the dress is gorgeous (her hair would have looked better down) but we’ll take what we can get. Kudos Hath!

Valentines Day opens Friday.

Why does the entertainment industry insist on making movies like this? Movies that put false hope and ideals into girls’ minds (and maybe even boys’ minds). “Letter #33″ Puh-leeze. In my experience I can’t even get a text message returned from the
douchebags, men, boys I’ve dealt with in this terrible game called “Love”. I guess that’s the point of movies, and books, and songs…to escape. To pretend that maybe, for a second, one day, it could be like that for you, for me… for all of us.
But I know better. So enjoy the movie, cry, cheer when they end up happily- ever- after, and leave the theater with faith that you one day will have a love story like that to tell. And most importantly, take it for what its worth…entertainment.

*on a lighter note, I am however obsessed with the song at the end of the trailer. Its called Set Fire to The Third Bar by Snow Patrol. It’s old, but really good.

Dear John opens February 5th.
